What endex means
The call that ends a training exercise. Once it's given, the scenario stops — and the part that matters begins.
“Endex, endex, endex. All stations, consolidate and prepare for debrief.”
Endex isn't the end of the day's work — it's a procedure, and it runs the same way every time.

01
The call
Someone puts it out over the net — endex, endex, endex. Whatever was happening stops. Weapons cleared, scenario over, everyone switches off.
-
02
Consolidate
Everyone comes back to one place. Kit gets collected, vehicles come in, the element that was spread across a training area becomes a group again.
-
03
Account for everyone
A head-count by name. Not a formality — it's the moment the unit confirms nobody is still out there and nobody is unaccounted for.
-
04
Debrief, then walk off
What happened, what went wrong, what we do next time. Then everyone leaves together. That last part isn't in any manual, but it's the reason the rest of it holds.
Four steps. The first three are admin. The fourth is the one people miss for the rest of their lives.
Nobody calls endex on the way out.
Leaving the service has all the admin and none of the rest. You clear your gear, sign the paperwork and drive off — no head-count, no debrief, and nobody walking off beside you. That's not a small thing to lose. It's the part that held everything else together, and most people don't notice it's gone until the silence has been there a while. ENDEX Group exists to rebuild that last step.
There's no eligibility check and no service requirement. If you're here in good faith, you're welcome.
No rank, no dues, no application. One order makes you a member — or just turn up in the Discord.
- A community first. The gear funds it; the people are the point.
- Open by default — no vetting, no gatekeeping, no proof of service.
- Built around things people actually do: cars, water, range, backcountry.
- Honest about scale. We're small and we say so.
- Tacticool. No skulls, no spent brass, no punisher logos.
- A charity, a clinic, or a substitute for professional care.
- A veterans-only club. Everyone decent is welcome here.
- Interested in trading on anyone's worst day to sell a hoodie.
Consolidate. Debrief. Walk off together.
That's the whole idea, borrowed from the one part of the job that worked. Come find out what it looks like in practice.
The community isn't an abstraction — it's a calendar. These are the things people show up for, and the reason there's something to show up to in the first place.
Wrenching counts as showing up.
A few quiet hours with people who get it.
Skill work, no theatrics.
Long miles, early starts, bad weather.
Monthly. No agenda and no clinician — just show up, talk if you want to.
Come see who's about.
This is the live server — the same one everyone's in. No application, no dues, nothing to prove. Have a look at who's on, then come say hello.
- Channels for motorsports, fishing, the range, backcountry and gear.
- Meetups get posted here first — car meets, range days, trips.
- A quieter channel for the harder days, with no agenda attached.
- Lurking is completely fine. Plenty of people read for months first.
